Alliance for a Green Economy (AGREE New York) works for safe, affordable energy and the development of a green economy in New York State. Our goal is a prosperous, safe, and healthy New York, fulfilling the promise of conservation, energy efficiency, and safe, clean renewable energy sources to end our state's reliance on wasteful and environmentally destructive forms of energy.
Berks Gas Truth is a grassroots citizens’ group fighting natural gas drilling in Pennsylvania. Our group, founded in 2010, is modeled after Lehigh Valley Gas Truth founded by Cathy Frankenberg. There are now chapters in the Lehigh Valley, Berks County, and Central Pennsylvania, York, and Bucks-Montgomery-Philadelphia.
Buffalo Field Campaign - We envision a life for buffalo in which they thrive within the state of inherent wildness as expressed in the Buffalo Bill of Rights. We also envision a world in which buffalo and all other native wildlife are given precedence on public land, and that buffalo herds will remain as a self-regulating sustainable population, and a viable genetic source for the future evolution potential of the species.
Citizens for Huerfan County is a Colorado non-profit corporation formed in response to the potential threat posed by Shell Oil Company's exploratory drilling for natural gas in the pristine Cuchara Valley & neighboring region. Our Mission is to protect our health, safety and environment from the effects of oil and gas development in Huerfano County.
Clean Water Action is a one million member organization of diverse people and groups joined together to protect our environment, health, economic well-being and community quality of life. Our goals include clean, safe and affordable water; prevention of health threatening pollution; creation of environmentally safe jobs and businesses; and empowerment of people to make democracy work. Clean Water Action organizes strong grassroots groups and coalitions and campaigns to elect environmental candidates and solve environmental and community problems.
Since the inception of Conscious Alliance in 2002, we have successfully collected and distributed enough food to provide over 1,164,000 meals to people in need. Our national 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization operates through ongoing, grassroots food collection and hunger awareness programs throughout the United States, primarily by organizing food drives at concerts and music events.
Don't Waste Michigan (DWM) is a group of concerned citizens and organizations initially formed to prevent Michigan from becoming a nuclear waste dump for the entire region. Citizens throughout the state organized to stop the federal government in conjunction with the nuclear power industry from targeting Michigan to become a nuclear waste dump.
Frack Action is engaged in a long-term campaign to protect our water, air, and public health from the dangerous practice of hydraulic fracturing. By raising awareness and empowering the public to organize in defense of their communities, we seek to expose the false claims of the gas industry and mobilize a citizen movement to protect our health and our future.
Healthy Environment ALliance of Utah - HEAL has established itself as a leader in the struggle to make Utah's environment healthy and safe for all. We have grown from a small group of six people meeting around a table to the point that we now have thousands of supporters, hundreds of members, dozens of core volunteers, and five staff. Our successful campaign to get the importation of hotter radioactive wastes banned by a reluctant state legislature is proof that when citizens insist on open, inclusive, and accountable governance, they can be heard and heeded.
At Heart of America Northwest, our mission is to advance our region's quality of life through highly credible research, education, and participation of citizens in issues affecting the health, environment, and economy of the Northwest particularly as it affects Hanford.

Iraq Veterans Against the War (IVAW) was founded by Iraq war veterans in July 2004 at the annual convention of Veterans for Peace (VFP) in Boston to give a voice to the large number of active duty service people and veterans who are against this war, but are under various pressures to remain silent.
Keep Cincinnati Beautiful is an award-winning affiliate of Keep America Beautiful and was incorporated in June of 1978 as a 501 (c) (3) organization by the City of Cincinnati. We are led by a volunteer Board and financially supported by corporate and individual donations, grants, foundations, and the City of Cincinnati. Our staff is dedicated to providing programs that are, Grassroots in Nature, Results Oriented, Ongoing, Based on Changing Behaviors and
Dependent on Public and Private Partnerships.
The Keep the Ban Coalition is a group of local and state organizations working to maintain the existing ban on uranium mining in Virginia. More than 10,000 citizens have stated their support for the ban to the General Assembly, and 85 government entities and nonprofit groups (that are not part of the Coalition) have expressed deep concerns about lifting Virginia’s 30-year ban on uranium mining.
A grass roots organization, the Maumee Bay Association, began meeting in 2000 when there was a proposal to expand the dredge disposal facility in the bay. Sandy Bihn led the group which met monthly and expanded issues and region. In 2004/2005 the group joined the WATERKEEPER Alliance and became the Western Lake Erie Waterkeeper Association.
Missourians for Safe Energy is a grassroots, non-profit group working for a safe, sustainable energy future. MSE is deeply concerned about climate change, about the finite nature of our current energy sources, and about the other environmental and security implications of continuing to rely on fossil fuels and nuclear power.
BEST/MATRR is a local chapter of BREDL, which is a league of environmental groups from 7 southeastern states and a 501(c)3 non-profit, community-based environmental organization. The founding principles are earth stewardship, environmental democracy, social justice, and community empowerment. BREDL educates citizens, assists groups who have local environmental concerns, and files legal actions with the court system, the TVA, and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
San Luis Obispo Mothers for Peace is a non-profit organization concerned with the local dangers involving the Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant, and with the dangers of nuclear power, weapons and waste on national and global levels. Additionally, Mothers for Peace concerns itself with issues of peace, social justice and a safe environment.
NC WARN is a member-based nonprofit tackling the accelerating crisis posed by climate change – along with the various risks of nuclear power – by watch-dogging utility practices and working for a swift North Carolina transition to energy efficiency and clean power generation. In partnership with other citizen groups, NC WARN uses sound scientific research to inform and involve the public in key decisions regarding their wellbeing.
Notes for Notes is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization dedicated to providing youth with FREE access to musical instruments, instruction and recording studio environments so that music may become a profoundly positive influence in their lives. We build, equip and staff after-school recording studios called MusicBoxes: positive, safe, and inspiring recording studio environments that offer youth the opportunity to explore, create and record music for FREE.
Nuclear Watch South's mission is to phase out nuclear power and promote conservation and sustainable energy sources such as wind and solar. Halt the proliferation of nuclear materials and abolish the global threat of nuclear weapons.
Promote the formation of ethical environmental policies for nuclear waste handling and containment
Nukewatch is a Wisconsin-based environmental and peace action group, dedicated to the abolition of nuclear power, weapons and continued radioactive waste production. Nukewatch brings critical attention to the locations, movements, dangers, and the politics of nuclear weapons and dangerous wastes. Staff and volunteers advocate Gandhian nonviolence in education and action, and report on nuclear issues in the Nukewatch Quarterly newsletter.
Since 1892, the Sierra Club has been working to protect communities, wild places, and the planet itself. We are the oldest, largest, and most influential grassroots environmental organization in the United States. The Ohio Chapter was established 40 years ago and represents more than 25,000 members and supporters. The Chapter advocates for energy efficiency, renewable energy, and public transit. We proudly defend Ohio’s forests, state parks, and nature preserves.

Peace Action-Wisconsin is a peace and justice organization which works for a world where human needs are met, the environment is preserved, and the threats of war and nuclear weapons have been abolished. We are committed to non-violence as a way of life and offer our members opportunities for education, lobbying and public witness.
Progressive Democrats of America was founded in 2004 to transform the Democratic Party and our country. The Toledo-Lucas County (TLC) Rain Garden Initiative will introduce the idea of rain gardens to homeowners, developers, nurseries and landscapers, business owners, and governmental agencies and assist them in constructing rain gardens as a way to manage storm water by providing demonstration gardens, technical training and public information and involvement.

The Alliance for Nuclear Accountability (ANA) was founded in 1987as the Military Production Network (MPN) to support the activities of grassroots groups around the country. During the past 25 years its members have worked together as a network to influence national policies related to nuclear weapons production, testing, research, cleanup of contaminated sites, public safety, and worker health
The Snake River Alliance serves as Idaho's nuclear watchdog and Idaho's advocate for renewable and nuclear-free energy. We raise community awareness about the dangers of nuclear waste, weapons and power while working to identify and promote sustainable alternatives. We do our work through advocacy, collaboration, education and grassroots organizing.
The Sustainable Energy and Economic Development (SEED ) Coalition is an alliance of individuals, businesses, and organizations advocating sustainable energy strategies for Texas, including the use of renewables and conservation. SEED also educates the public about the economic, environmental, and health benefits of a sustainable energy strategy.
UTH Cafe is a soldier outreach program based just outside of the largest military installation in the United States, Fort Hood, in Killeen Texas. UTH is run solely by donations, to promote the free and uncensored exchange of ideas and information among active duty and reserve military personnel and civilians.
